A winner & another project on the neverending list o' projects

Okay y'all, I know that I am a bit late in posting this (it was a long weekend), but congrats to Michelle at From House to Home (! You get your choice of either a custom clipboard or picture frame. I'll contact you for the specifics. I can't wait to see what you come up with. Your blog is FAB! P.S. I am totally going to redo my pantry now. I am so inspired!

Okay, I have begun another overhaul. The decorating bug has taken over my laundry room. Some people think that decorating a laundry room is a total waste of time because it is such a utilitarian space, but I figure that I spend 95% of my day in there (well, maybe that is just a little exaggerated, but not much) so why not make it purdy. I began by "borrowing" an idea from another blogger and brushing Polyshades stain directly, yes, directly over my oak cabinets. I know, crazy isn't it? No sanding, nuthin'. It is definitely going to take 2 coats, but it already looks 10 times better than before. Now, the other thing that I have done is paint the walls and ceiling (first ceiling I have ever painted) a beautiful light turquiose color. It reminds me of a Tiffany's box (not sure if I am 100% sold on the color, but I will live with it for a while and see). I have lots of other little goodies happening, and I will post some "in process" pictures later (the hubs took the camera to E's soccer camp this morning).

4 brilliant things my peeps said about this:

I love the detail on those cupboards , I would paint them if they were mine but I paint all wood, maybe blue , you could add a shelf below with some pretty brackets , I am so jealous of people who have "real" laundry rooms like yours.
Decorate away .
