What an exhausting day! Can you imagine about 10 rambunctious 5-year-old boys & their siblings & parents in one house (family as well)! It was insane!!! They had a wonderful time and it was worth all of the craziness. Next year, I do believe that we will begin a much more scaled down version. Also, I have figured out that with each consecutive child, you get smarter. You don't do less for each child, you just do things that make more sense. Also, I don't take less pictures with Caroline & Wyatt, I just realized that taking 523 of the same thing just plain isn't necessary. It is about quality, not quantity. Besides, I have to scrapbook them all...scary thought at this point! Anyway, speaking of pictures, enjoy...
Ethan in his Transformer costume! Caroline wanted to be in the middle of the fun, but we feared for her safety with the deluge of arms tearing away at gifts...HA!
Ethan loves his new toy!
Caroline & Nana
Ethan & Uncle Matt putting together one of his toys...Matt has the patience of Job! The perfect project for the both of them.
2 brilliant things my peeps said about this:
It, indeed, was a splendid time. Whee!
and yes, Uncle Matt has more patience than I've ever had in my entire life.
Caroline is quite lucky she didn't get involved in the stampeed ... I've never seen so many grabby hands at a birthday party!!!
We hated missing it! We'll come to the next one (if no one is sick) and you're so right about "getting smarter" McDonald's does a great bday (prep and clean up is free) !!
